DIS-JUNCTION

Do we really know this original design.....?
If the fowl decides to fly higher....
If the sheep decides to lead the shepherd....
If the nose decides to speak....
If men suddenly impregnated themselves...
For some this alterations would be a subject of research in evolution and an opportunity to win a Nobel prize...the media would have its biggest bloom perhaps, while for some this would be a question of a serious demonic attack or probably the end of the world and still a great number would be indifferent and just move on.
An alteration in the original design would result to a malfunction...

2Cor 5:7 the just shall live by faith.....an alteration would result to a malfunction.

BACK TO SCHOOL...

I was scheduled to be at Queens College Yaba Lagos at 9am but arrived at about 7.30am. I did make a few stops due to protocol before heading to the ICT laboratory. I was not quite expecting to meet anyone at that time and so I was not disappointed. Sitting at the entrance to the boarding house area and watching the girls ‘cross over’ with staff and school prefects hurrying them to the assembly ground was not new to me at all. A lot had changed new and renovated buildings but still very familiar faces right from the guard at the gate to the attendant at the School Principal’s office.

About 11 years ago, I cried while hugging my big sister so tight and telling her she was going nowhere unless she took me home and made me a day student. ‘’I do not like boarding house” I said “... and I am missing home. “They do not feed us well and one senior punished me yesterday”, “The water is bad and that’s why I am losing my voice” .The list of excuses went on and on. At the beginning of a term I would feel nauseated as soon as the car took the left turn into Queen’s street. Four years later my heart pounded in my head as I was called up on the assembly ground as one of the school prefects. Just before I was assigned a responsibility I held a video camera in my small hands and then became the first student to do a video coverage at a major event as the Christmas Carol Service at Queens College.

School was the place to be with clubs and Societies, inter-house sports, calisthenics, matrons, housemistresses, dorm mates, classmates, dining hall, portion work, dorm work, prep-time, lights out, slabs and even contraband (Special suya and bread. lol). I did not miss out but just could not wait to get out.  I was quick to sign any forms and books that would accelerate my exit after my final examinations.

February 14, 2011 would be exactly one week since I have been working with Queen’s college students on the Junior Multimedia School Project as an intern at the Unites CISCO networking academy.
The students are involved in making multimedia products; short films, posters, newsletters. The girls are currently working towards a short film festival.

REGARDS!!!

M
y great friend you’ve shown me that knowledge cannot be hidden not even from a brain enclosed in a walnut. If only the hands turn the pages with focus, a goal, determination and a fighting spirit.
My great friend, we never got to play by the moonlight but for age, Nor did we watch a football match by the street, climb the guava, mango trees...... for the city “that’s best to live in” gives no time for much pleasures...
The car rides, conversations and little laughter.... I’ll miss my great friend.
As others might misunderstand my little note, but who can know a feeling without placing a foot in the shoe. Until they meet my great friend.
My great friend leaves the city “that’s best to live in” to quieten his head.
I pray the soveriegn force of nature gives my great friend the serenity he need to make life worthwhile.
