laptop has just been the right excuse for me to neglect my blog(not
justifying myself) although I've had loads of interesting events and
days of my life in the past months.
I hope to find the right words to narrate the tales of my Nigerian
Youth Service Corp Orientation camp on KM 27 Mallam Sidi Gombe State.
I can only but for now describe those three weeks as most interesting,
eventful, fantastic, life changing and hilarious. I must say that the
whole idea of the NYSC is superb, the fun, the lessons drawn, the
independence and realisations.
At the time of this composition, we have already experienced floodings
in two major cities (Lagos and Ibadan), two bombings (police
headquarters and united nations building) in Abuja and we still face
threats from a terrorist body (bokoharem) of which we cannot place one
face to.
We cannot trust our national security nor our government as they have
not respected us. You cannot walk casually into a shop on Ojuelegba
road or on Adeniran Ogunsanya Surulere without beckoning on the
attendant because they are under lock and key even at the peak of the
buisness hours.
Our country cannot boast of possessing data that gives current
information of atleast one quarter of its populace. Most parents and
guardians would have sleepless nights for one year till their loved
ones return from a service "under the sun or in the rain, with
dedication and selflessness" to a people that do not acknowledge them.
Away from the ordeals, it is nice to know that I can now post my
thoughts whenever via the mobile network.
